Your contribution can make a difference in saving lives and protecting our community. Support Gray Volunteer Fire Department today.
On behalf of our membership, I would like to welcome you to our website. We'll be proactively updating and adding Fire and Life Safety information for you to share with your family and friends. You'll also be able to learn more about the dedicated members of our department that volunteer their time, and put their lives at risk, to protect and serve the Gray community.
The Gray Volunteer Fire Department relies heavily upon donations from citizens and businesses to support our mission of providing services to protect lives, property, and the environment through fire suppression and fire prevention education. We are a non-profit 501(c)(4) organization, and your generous donations are tax deductible. Your donations are used for fire and rescue equipment, critical training, community fire prevention education, and other needs to provide a professional level of fire and life safety services.
I extend an invitation to anyone wishing to visit our department to come by to learn about our equipment, our training, our programs, and our dedication. If you're interested in volunteering and joining our team, please contact us.
In closing, we thank you for your continued support of the Gray Volunteer Fire Department, and acknowledge your trust and confidence in each of us, knowing that we take our responsibility seriously in protecting the lives and safety of our community every day.
Stay safe,
Chief Dakota Sparks
Make sure you have working smoke detectors on every level of your home. Test them monthly and replace the batteries twice a year.
Create a fire escape plan with your family and practice it regularly. Identify two ways out of every room and establish a meeting place outside.
Never leave cooking food unattended and keep flammable items away from the stove. In case of a grease fire, smother the flames with a lid and turn off the heat.
We are dedicated to serving and protecting our community with the highest level of professionalism. Contact us for fire prevention and life safety education.
